I am making available, to the first 11 Good Lawgic subscribers who commit and pay, the opportunity to join me in a 12 team Fantasy Football league. In addition to being an active subscriber here on Locals, the League fee is $50.00.
To Enroll: You must Request a spot in the comments below and tell me whether you plan to pay via venmo or paypal. I will approve the first 11 people to request. In the Note, provide: i) your name; ii) your Locals name; iii) your email; and iv) Team Name. You will have 24 hours to make payment or I may re-assign your spot to someone else who requests. After you send me $50 via Paypal or Venmo I will acknowledge same. NOBODY HAS A SPOT IN THE LEAGUE PRIOR TO COMPLETING PAYMENT.
The proceeds will be divided as follows:
1) Championship winner: $375
2) Championship Loser: $175
3) Most points through Week 14: $50
I do not believe ESPN charges a fee for hosting. (If they do, we will adjust the $ for Championship winner/loser proportionally.)
This is a half PPR Snake draft league with Free Agents acquired through Auction Bidding (Each team starts with $100 in FA Money).
I anticipate having the draft at 5 PM EDT on Sunday September 3. In lieu of randomized seeding, immediately prior to the draft, we will have a Seeding Auction. In a Seeding Auction you have the opportunity to bid with your Free Agent $ on what seed you would like draft from (1-12). This is conducted as an open auction where we start with one person bidding $X on a Seed Y. We work through each team to see if they wish to outbid the highest bid for the seed by $1 or more. If they say "no" they are out of the bidding for that seed. The highest bid obtains the Seed that is up for auction. If you succeed in acquiring a seed, the $ that you bid will be deducted from your starting FA Account. Teams that do not wish to bid on any seeds will be randomly assigned a seed and start with the full $100 in FA$. (THIS IS WAY LESS CONFUSING THAN IT SOUNDS AND I WILL WALK ALL THE TEAMS THROUGH IT.)
Immediately after the auction, we will begin the snake draft.

PLEASE PAY SPECIAL NOTE: I have tweaked the scoring rules slightly and MOST NOTABLY for Defense. Compared to most standardized scoring rules, the Rules are FAR MORE generous for Defenses that effectively stop their opponents from gaining yards and scoring points.

Im creating a cartoon intro to go with this song (or something similar) that will be played at the start of our nightly show for a minimum of 3 months.
I think it would be better if the characters in the vid were based on Diggers/Followers/Ghetto folk. You would send me a pic and I would have AI create an avatar based on that pic to pop in the vid.
I am offering different tiers of Avatar placement from:
i) Background Cameo; $25/$20
ii) Feature Prominently: $60/$50
iii) Select your activity (like dancing round a bonfire or throwing a virgin into a volcano, etc); $100/$75
and
iv) Featured as a singer singing a line from the song. ($150/$100)
As a way of thanking my regs, I offer the lower prices in those categories for people who have been Followers/Diggers/Ghetto folk for 2 years or longer. Those lower prices also apply to people who are regularly super-chatting/ranting even if they haven't been around for 2 years. (If you think you're an OG, you probably are.)
