For those who signed up to the league. Two things:
1. You should have gotten an invite to the league. @ski_nerd still has not accepted the invite. If you need me to resend please let me know.
2. We are supposed to draft tomorrow and still have 2 spots. If any if you have suggestions about how to address this, please let me know in comments below.
3. Defense scoring. Unlike most leagues, I believe it is appropriate to reward defenses that are good at keep teams from scoring or moving the ball rather than merely rewarding sacks/turnovers and special plays which are often more luck than skill. Accordingly, when each Defense starts the game, the stary with 25 points (I think its 12 for 0 points and 140 for 0 yards.) As they allow yards/points, that erodes. I think it is a loss of 2 points for every 6-7 allowed or thereabouts. As they allow yards, they lose points as well (I believe I set roughly a loss of 2 points for allowing 100 yards and another 2 points lost every 50 yards allowed by the defense. The upshot is that a defense which allows 10 points and 180 yards, but has no sacks or turnovers, will score a lot more for you than a defense that allows 400 yards and 30 points but managed to luck out with a pick-6. I think this a better reflection of strategizing to pick a defense that will do well rather than being garbage but opportunistic.
4. The draft is slated to be tomorrow at 6:15 PM EDT. I need to push that back to 6:30 to accommodate a friend who is willing to help fill out a slot and cannot start before 6:30. I have another friend who is willing to join if needed. That is 8. We really need 2 more minimum. I plan on running the seeding for auction via Locals. I will set up a stream here. Please make sure you are signed into the system timely.

I think it would be better if the characters in the vid were based on Diggers/Followers/Ghetto folk. You would send me a pic and I would have AI create an avatar based on that pic to pop in the vid.
I am offering different tiers of Avatar placement from:
i) Background Cameo; $25/$20
ii) Feature Prominently: $60/$50
iii) Select your activity (like dancing round a bonfire or throwing a virgin into a volcano, etc); $100/$75
and
iv) Featured as a singer singing a line from the song. ($150/$100)
As a way of thanking my regs, I offer the lower prices in those categories for people who have been Followers/Diggers/Ghetto folk for 2 years or longer. Those lower prices also apply to people who are regularly super-chatting/ranting even if they haven't been around for 2 years. (If you think you're an OG, you probably are.)
