The debate last week confirms we are in election season mode. This weekend I conceived of the idea of hosting "Online Trump Rallies" on my channel. I would not simply restream his rallies but create one of my own. Perhaps, have a guest speaker like Scott Pressler or Brick Suit guy, play a select portion of Trump speaking and maybe give 3 reasons at each rally to Vote Trump.
I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR FEEDBACK.
Here are some thoughts about why I am torn about following through:
PROS:
I'd feel guilty if he lost and I didn't do everything I could to help him win;
Could start a trend that would have a genuine impact;
Potential channel exposure to new audience.
CONS:
I have worked hard to be fair in assessing every political figure good or bad.
To maintain transparency about good or bad in any candidate including Trump. Hosting rallies undermines a lot of of my work to display "old school" journalistic impartiality/integrity.
Its a lot of work;
Maintaining a schedule together with Baldwin trial and nightly shows could be impossible.
Im creating a cartoon intro to go with this song (or something similar) that will be played at the start of our nightly show for a minimum of 3 months.
I think it would be better if the characters in the vid were based on Diggers/Followers/Ghetto folk. You would send me a pic and I would have AI create an avatar based on that pic to pop in the vid.
I am offering different tiers of Avatar placement from:
i) Background Cameo; $25/$20
ii) Feature Prominently: $60/$50
iii) Select your activity (like dancing round a bonfire or throwing a virgin into a volcano, etc); $100/$75
and
iv) Featured as a singer singing a line from the song. ($150/$100)
As a way of thanking my regs, I offer the lower prices in those categories for people who have been Followers/Diggers/Ghetto folk for 2 years or longer.
